Lincoln Pen Company's new Silver ballpoints hit the High Street. |
|
After spending most of 2008 developing markets in the Middle East, Lincoln Pen Company has recently undertaken research into the quality pen market in Lincolnshire. "We have produced a new range of coloured and plain ball point pens to address the needs identified in our research" said Steve Kendall. These pens have only been in the shops a few days but are all ready selling well. My only worry is that I have not made enough. It is difficult to have my work hallmarked as Christmas approaches because the Assay Office becomes so busy at this time of year", Steve explained, "I am working on my next batch to send for hallmarking now; I think these will be the last ones that I get back before Christmas. Lincoln retailers say that the pens have hit a price bracket that makes them very appealing to customers and the two year extended guarantee is a major selling point."The pens are avaiable from Ruddocks, High Street, Lincoln or James Usher & Son, Guildhall Street, Lincoln. |

| PENMAN Steve Kendall fears his newest range is in danger of attracting so much attention, he may not be able to keep pace with demand. Mr Kendall of the Sudbrooke-based Lincoln Pen Company, said a new range of six silver ballpoint pens he has designed, is causing a real flurry. After spending much of 2008 developing sales markets in the Middle East, Mr Kendall decided to take a close look at the quality pen market in the county. "That has led to me producing the new pens, which have only been in the shops for a few days but are selling well." he said. "My only worry is that I have not made enough. It is difficult to have my work hallmarked as Christmas approaches because the Assay Office becomes so busy at this time of year." Mr Kendall, who is selling his latest designs through Ruddocks and Ushers in Lincoln, said he was using a new silver alloy with a higher silver content than sterling. |
